By keeping case references to initials or case numbers only, the platform stays outside HIPAA scope, which means it stays fast, affordable, and simple. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest, with row-level isolation so you only ever see your own records.

TLS in transit and AES-256 at rest on enterprise-grade infrastructure. We are honest about what this means: it is not end-to-end encryption — operators with infrastructure access could in principle read records, which is exactly why no PHI belongs here.

Is the platform really encrypted?
Yes — but we want to be precise. All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2+, and data at rest is encrypted with AES-256 on managed cloud infrastructure (Postgres + object storage). It is not end-to-end encrypted: operators with infrastructure access could in principle read records, which is exactly why we ask you to keep PHI off the platform and use client initials or case numbers only.
Do you store Protected Health Information (PHI)?
No. The platform is intentionally designed to stay outside HIPAA scope. We track your hours, supervision sessions, and milestones — not client records. Because there is no PHI, there is no Business Associate Agreement to sign on either side.
Who can see my hours, notes, and messages?
Only you and the supervisor (or intern) you're paired with. Row-level security in the database enforces this at the query level, so no other user — even on the same plan — can read your records.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your hour log, documents, and messages stay available in read-only mode. You can export anything at any time, and reactivate to resume logging in one click. We do not sell or share your data, ever.
Where is the data hosted?
On enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure inside the United States, with daily backups and at-rest encryption. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store card numbers.
